Take a good look at the people you are most frequently connected to. Not in a judgemental kind of way, I mean from a more observational standpoint.
What are their characteristics? What are their ambitions? What do they sacrifice for their dreams? Do they encourage you? Do they tell you the truth about yourself? Do they inspire you to dream bigger and up-level in your life and business?
Please note: I am not proposing that others are to blame for our circumstances. I believe every adult who has the gift of the soundness of mind should take personal responsibility for making their own decisions, thus creating their own life’s experiences.
With that being said, since we are greatly influenced by the company that we keep, I believe that much of who we are and WHERE WE ARE in life has to with who we CHOOSE to surround ourselves with.
Here’s the Truth:
If you want to be a millionaire, then you need to get to know some millionaires.
If you want to finish college and go higher in your learning, it’s a good idea to reach out to someone who is on the road to gaining theirs or have already done so.
If you want to lose weight, you should consider connecting with people who value fitness and wellness – not the folks who would convince to go to McDonald’s with them.
You must re-evaluate who you deeply associate with. (Uh hem… this also includes family)
Does that mean that mean we should completely sever the ties with people whose ambitions are not as strong as ours? Not necessarily. In fact, if they genuinely love and care for us, it’s important that we honor them and cherish them in our lives.
However, it is in our best interest to continually make an effort to connect with other godly, like-minded people who are where we want to be, or on their way there. This is a great help to keep your motivation high and your inspiration ignited.
There is nothing like being a part of a community where the synergy is electrifying and the group consciousness propels you to achieve new heights that you never thought were possible for you!
Not only that, but I’ve come to find out that most people are willing to discuss their journey with you, but you’ll never have the conversation unless you open up!
If you find it difficult to connect with, open up to, or reach out to new people, then you may want to look at WHY…
Is it because you don’t feel “good enough”? Is there something that you feel is needed FIRST before you step out? – If so, let me assure you that these are symptoms of what I call ABUNDANCE BLOCKS. I teach on this in depth in my Money Mindset Mastery training.
These are the inner narratives or limiting beliefs that ALWAYS… always… always… keep you “stuck” and halts your progress in life and your business.
I remember a time when I would just admire people from afar instead of introducing myself out of fear that I wouldn’t be received well, rejected, or criticized. (aka Abundance Blocks)
In other words, I held myself back and self-sabotaged my progress….
Is this something that you struggle with? Do you feel safer among familiar people who don’t have what it takes to get you where you’re trying to go?
If this resonates with you, post your thoughts below.
And consider signing up for my groundbreaking Money Mindset Mastery program.
(…This is the stuff that I teach to my private clients as a part of their business training. This is the GAS that makes the car GO!… Get in on this so you can get what you need to soar this year!)
From my heart to yours,
Take what you need and leave the rest for someone else!
Love Dee. ❤
